Women's Economic Empowerment through Vocational Sewing Training at the West Java Women's School

Abstract
Vocational education through non-formal channels plays a crucial role in equipping communities with practical skills to support economic independence. The West Java Women's School is committed to empowering housewives, female heads of households, and vulnerable groups through capacity-building programs. However, these partner groups often face limited access to structured skills training that is adaptive to the needs of the independent economic market. This community service activity aims to implement a digital technology-based vocational sewing training program and evaluate its impact on improving participants' competencies and entrepreneurial readiness. The service implementation method used an intensive training approach that focused on hands-on practice, the use of real-world media, the use of digital sewing machines, and a comprehensive post-training evaluation of 24 participants. The results of the activity demonstrated that this community service program was highly effective, with all aspects of the training being categorized as "Very Good" with an average achievement above 81%. The use of real-world media and digital sewing machines received the highest response rate, reaching 89.17%, demonstrating the high acceleration in participants' understanding of the appropriate technology taught. Overall, this community service activity significantly improved partners' technical sewing skills and fostered strong motivation to create independent business opportunities for family well-being
